I started working with words 20 years ago. More recently, I’ve been part of the content design team at Indeed where I’ve helped employers find the people they want to hire.
I love digging into everything from nitty-gritty UI copy to aspirational vision work, always informed by my pals in research, of course. Take a look around and learn a little more about my work.
I’m a content strategist, writer, and editor. I’ve worked with startups, nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and regular folks with a story to share.
My goal is simple: To share the heart of your message with the right audience using the right channels at the right time.
I’ve been writing professionally for 20 years, and I’ve been a paid copywriter for 10. I worked for nonprofits for many years — the Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum in Chicago, the Dallas Museum of Art, and LIVESTRONG Foundation in Austin. And then I worked with a startup called OutboundEngine, where I helped them scale their content (more than tripling the amount of content they created for customers).
Now I use that experience to create copy that sells, whether that’s products or a mission. I work with a few nonprofit and for-profit companies like:
Save the Children
Foodstore Foodbank
Charity Dynamics
Forte Foundation
OutboundEngine
LIVESTRONG Foundation
SMU Education
SMU Press
I live in beautiful Austin, Texas with my husband and two kids. I also write fiction and creative nonfiction. You can check out that writing on my personal site.
Why “Moon Phase Media?”
In my experience, projects are similar to moon cycles. You start with the sliver of an idea, a new moon.
Gradually, as we work together, that moon and that project get larger, the waxing moon, until we reach the full moon (or completion).
During the waning phase, we’re testing, optimizing, reporting, wrapping things up. And then … the new moon returns with the next project.

Let’s build something together
