Content guidelines for new UX experiences

The TikTok UX team had developed visual guidelines for new UX experiences (NUX), but we didn’t have content guidelines for them when I joined the team. 

Problem

The lack of content guidance resulted in inconsistent experiences for our users and extra work for content designers.

Solutions

I developed content guidelines for NUX. Then I solicited feedback from members of the content design team to refine and improve the guidelines.

Outcomes

I worked with our Design Systems team to get the guidelines adopted into our Keystone design system.
